Best of Clarifinancial January 2010
January is turning into a unique different month for Clarifinancial. This is the month when we crushed our first benchmarked competitor. “But you don’t have any competitors because nobody else does life insurance the same way,” you say. You are right, but in the court of public perception, that is a different thing.
As a result of our diligent efforts, our natural searches from Google, AOL, and Bing have sky-rocketed. The article about getting life insurance on your parents is in the top spot this month. A lot of people apparently are interested in how to do this. It is easy to do and can be very affordable, but of course you need their permission.
It was hard to decide between the number two and number three spots this month. My interview with Brad Chaffee had more unique views and he really showed his passion.
When Matt Jabs and I discussed the unique way he and his wife are paying off debt, it turned into more time on the page than normal. You can now read both of these interviews easier because we changed the font along with a host of other small updates to the site.
I wrote about why sales people stink and why we need more experts instead, and it caused quite a stir. Obviously, the title was catchy but I had a fellow writer disagree with me so much he wrote his own post about why instead we should work to elevate the profession of being a sales person. I think both viewpoints have merit. At least if you are going to be a salesperson, you should strive to be a true expert in your field.
Finally, if your curiosity was peaked about what makes Clarifinancial unique, I finally addressed it in 3 Things Make Clarifinancial Unique. This post frankly took some time because while I understand how the business’s uncommonly simple approach to life insurance is different from anything else on the market, being able to relay that information is difficult. Clarifinancial doesn’t do very much when it comes to life insurance, but that crafts its unique power as an easy-to-use, unbiased tool. After all, that’s what we’re really looking for.
While these were the top five posts for January, honorable mentions this month go to some personal favorites:
