February was a great month for Clarifinancial. Most notably, our natural searches have started shooting through the roof, accounting for almost half of our total traffic. I consider this to be somewhat of an objective measure of the relative quality we are producing. It’s great that it is getting noticed and held apart from the rest as being unique.

Now on to the top five most popular life insurance articles that we created this month. If you look closely, you’ll notice something a little different about this list than in past months.

  1. The most popular life insurance article for the month of February examined the question Should you buy more life insurance in a bad economy?

  2. Perhaps spawned by a little bit of controversy off-site and perhaps supported by multiple links in and votes on social networking sites. Whatever the reason, I think this article stands out from the crowd by presenting something we should all be talking about but don’t.

  3. Another important article that I am pleased to see people react to is about who should be your beneficiary with minor children and life insurance? This article’s traffic is heavy on the search-side of things, showing that not enough people are trying to be a reliable source of basic information. What many don’t know is that this article is one piece of a series which addresses life insurance and beneficiaries in different stages of life. Look for the completion of this series over the next month or so.

  4. Does getting life insurance make you pregnant? No. But can you get life insurance while pregnant? Yes (most of the time). Of course, there are some common complications with pregnancy that can make getting life insurance difficult or even impossible. This article addresses those issues. Perhaps the best idea is to get life insurance before you are pregnant, whenever possible.

  5. While the interviews I do normally rank better than any other articles published on this site, this month they weren’t. It’s not that they did any worse than normal, just that some other content is doing much better. My interview with Tom Drake of the Canadian Finance Blog was extremely well received. In particular, people tended to engage with this interview more than any other. Maybe it’s because Tom’s such a likeable guy.

  6. And finally, my interview with Greg Summers went over extremely well. He might be better known as the Lean Life Coach to some people and writes about applying the principles of lean management to your own life. Caught somewhere between the “lifestyle design” crowd and “personal finance” group with a touch of sharp business principles, his website really offers a fresh take. If you are interested in improving your life and achieving your goals through a refined focus, check out his site for a little inspiration.
