Best of Clarifinancial December 2009
December seems to have come and gone quicker than other months in the past. Perhaps that means we’re cooking up some fun things in the future.
The two most popular articles on the site were the interviews I did with other people. This seems like a sign. If you are a writer and afraid long posts will scare folks off, your lesson is that each of these was over 1,000 words. My lesson is to keep doing the Fresh Perspective interviews. The first interview was with the always-entertaining J Money.
The following week, I had the chance to site down with the deep and placid Matthew E May. You can get a taste of his book by reading through our conversation. Go read these interviews now.
My wife, Cynthia Pinkston, wrote the next most popular article, Top Five Reasons to Review Your Life Insurance. In fact, some of you thought this was such a good article, it was featured on other websites. Of course I think she’s awesome, but if you haven’t read it yet, you should see why others think so too.
A different type of audience began responding to an article I wrote about a New Tool for Fee-Only Financial Planners. I’ll just come out and say it: If you are a fee-only advisor and have a fiduciary obligation to your clients, Clarifinancial may be able to help you serve your clients better and more efficiently. Email us for more details.
The most recent installment in the Life Insurance Secret series was also popular this month. I wrote Term Life Insurance is not Pure Insurance in response to the mislead notion that any type of life insurance is not bloated with hidden fees and costs, and therefore inherently better. If low cost is your primary objective, term may not be the best tool for you. Rather than perpetuating a the myth to sell regimented policies, like other websites, Clarifinancial allows you the freedom to explore better customized life insurance solutions.
As an honorable mention, I should point out that Clarifinancial’s Charitable Affiliate relationship with Stop Hunger Now got a lot of traffic. Clearly people are interested in how it works. Long story short, if you request a quote and choose an agent through this link, Clarifinancial will give Stop Hunger Now enough money to feed 40 people. Tell everyone you know.
